A man has been reunited with his smashed lost camera after his word-paintings were shared on social media.

Peter Sandground detected the SLR in the River Etive in the Highlands while he was working on a business film and retrieved the cache card.

The photographer then managed to recover a series of likeness who the hell is captivated on New Year’s Day 2017.

After a social media upright was shared more than 1,200 durations the mystery proprietor was identified as Charlie Davidson.

Swept away

The oil industry engineer, from Peterhead, had been filming in Glen Etive, which has featured in movies such as Braveheart and Skyfall, on 1 January, 2017.
